Went fishing today finally. Was able to get Luke to get off work early enough to hit an early morning bite up at Greer's Ferry. We launched at Devil's Fork and headed to Spot #1. Throwing topwater and crankbaits at the fish jumping through-out the cove we were able to land about 10 bass a peice. My biggest close to the 3 LB range and Lukes just at 2.5 LBS. We fished this spot in the spring and it seemed to hold decent fish then as well as today. We decided to hit the usual bridge pillars. My first cast had a nice solid hit, but quickly came off. We fished around and fought the wind on a couple more pillars and decided to head to Spot #3. Here we found the water level low enough to expose several groves of underwater trees. We didn't really want to weave in and out of them but fished the outer edges with no success. Noon was approaching so we decided to stop at an island before heading in. No luck there either. All in all caught several fish early morning, and the bite did slow down by 10 am.
