Rules

1. ELIGIBILITY: All teams will consist of no more than two persons that have paid the appropriate fees to compete. Event Staff and Tournament Director retain the right to refuse any Entry to any Team.


2.ENTRY FEES: $80.00 per boat must be paid by the second Friday prior of the Event this fee includes the teams Big Fish Entry. $15.00 Late Fee will be required after the second Friday prior and morning of the Event. NO CHECKS will be accepted morning of the event.


3. DEPARTURE: Blast off will be in sequence in the order that Entries are received. Earlier entries will get an earlier Blast-off. Blast off will be performed by Event Staff ONLY. All Teams must have their numbered Home Depot paint sticks in their possession at all times during the event.


4.BOATS AND MOTORS: Any Boat 12 foot or longer, if powered by a motor of 9.8 HP or greater, with a kill switch and an aerated live well will be accepted. All Arkansas Water Patrol Laws and Regulations shall apply. Boats MAY NOT BE TRAILERED OR SWITCHED DURING TOURNAMENT HOURS, unless approved by the Tournament Director.


5.SAFETY AND SPORTSMANSHIP: Sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation are expected from each contestant. Any infraction of this rule may be cause for disqualification.


5.1. 50 Yard Rule: Participants will respect the space of others during tournament hours. Participants must stay 50 yards from other participants while either party is fishing unless both teams are in agreement. Harassment will NOT be tolerated. Participants must stay 50 yards outside any commercial area, this includes but not limited to Commercial Marina's and Public Swimming Areas.


6.SCORING: Five (5) fish limit. Largemouth, Kentucky, or Smallmouth bass will be counted. The total weight per team will determine the places. All bass must be a minimum of 15" on a GOLDEN RULE style ruler, regardless of AGFC Regulations allowing smaller. Any bass presented for weigh-in under length will result in a one (1) pound penalty and the loss of that fish. Iced fish or fish on a stringer will result in disqualification. Dead Fish will have a quarter (1/4) pound penalty for each fish presented. All fish must be released immediately after weigh-in.


6.1. TROPHY FISH: Although it is recommended to release all fish one trophy fish (that weighs more than eight (8) pounds) may ONLY be kept by the participant who caught the fish. Only one (1) Trophy will be allowed per tournament.


7. CULLING: Culling not to be done at dock.


8.TIES: All ties will be broken by the biggest fish weighed.


9.LATE WEIGH-IN: It is the responsibility of every contestant to be on time to the weigh-in. Official time will be determined by the Tournament Director so ask for official time at check-in. Teams must have the Home Depot paint stick to the weigh-station by the official weigh-in time(NOT INSIDE THE BOUYS).  A  one (1) pound penalty will added for every minute late. Disqualification will occur at ten (10) minutes late. NO EXCEPTIONS!


10.PROTESTS: Any contestant wishing to protest the score or conduct of a fellow contestant must do so in writing within ten (10) minutes of the start of the weigh-in. All written protests will go to the Tournament Director who will consult with Event Staff for a final decision.


11.BOAT INSPECTIONS: All boats will be inspected prior to launching. A live-well and kill switch check will be performed during inspection.


12. TACKLE: Artificial baits ONLY. Use of live bait will mean immediate disqualification. Exception: Pork Rind, Pork Strip type baits are permitted. Only casting, spinning or spin-cast rods and reels may be used. Only one (1) rod may be used at any time by each person. NO TROLLING ALLOWED.


13.TOURNAMENT CANCELLATIONS: If the tournament is cancelled due to reasons of safety, the entry fees will be refunded or transferred to a rescheduled date.
